ReStory Achievements Guide: All 50

Track all 50 ReStory Steam achievements, current patch fixes, missable-route planning, long-term goals, competitions and hidden objectives.

ReStory: Chill Electronics Repairs has 50 Steam achievements. The checklist below starts from Steam’s official names and public objectives, then separates confirmed launch bugs from ordinary progression goals.

This guide now tracks the official list through patch 1.0.013r. The August 7 Known Issues announcement says two achievements could unlock early, and a separate developer reply confirms another incorrect Solder-related trigger during early cleaning. Patch 1.0.009r lists How Did I Do It, Frugal, and Platinum Partner fixes. Patch 1.0.011r then made sonic-bath cleaning count toward the related achievement and fixed Jack of all trades. Independent route and trigger retests remain partial, and hidden conditions are still marked rather than guessed.

Important launch achievement bugs

Steam display nameWhat is currently confirmedPublishing decision
How did I do this?It could unlock early at launch; 1.0.009r lists “How Did I Do It” as fixed.Follow the intended soldering objective; current-build timing retest pending.
FrugalIt could unlock early at launch; 1.0.009r lists it as fixed.Keep the intended ten-day no-new-parts goal; current-build tracking retest pending.
Platinum PartnerThe new patch explicitly lists a fix without publishing the original failure details.Keep the official all-licenses objective; current-build unlock retest pending.
First fix! / Solder-related early triggerA player reported the wrong Solder achievement during first-phone cleaning, and a developer acknowledged the problem. The patch note does not separately explain this wording; retain it as a launch report pending retest.
Cleaning-count achievements1.0.011r says parts cleaned in the sonic bath now count toward the related achievement.Count the official 100/1,000-part objectives; do not use pre-patch bath behavior as current guidance.
Jack of all trades1.0.011r explicitly lists this achievement as fixed.Use the public paint + clean + repair + hacking objective; exact trigger retest remains pending.

The global completion percentages are also distorted by the tiny launch sample and early-unlock problems. They are useful for discovering long-tail questions, not for proving which achievement is objectively hardest.

All 50 achievements checklist

The action column paraphrases the public Steam objective so it is easier to scan. A blank hidden condition means Steam itself does not reveal that description on the public global page.

Efficient route planning

Most achievements overlap naturally if you avoid treating each one as a separate grind.

  1. Keep normal shop progression together. Reviews, email orders, licenses, Marketplace purchases and sales all grow during ordinary repair days.
  2. Track cumulative actions early. Cleaning, stickers, reprogramming and parts boxes have high final thresholds. Start recording them before the late game.
  3. Pair competition goals. Work toward Promise of Akiba, Star of Akiba and Legend of Akiba in the same device-type checklist.
  4. Separate direct repair from software tasks. Reprogram/Hacking achievements do not prove that a customer Firmware Update service has succeeded.
  5. Treat time achievements as save-management projects. Thirty, 90 and 365 days are explicit long-term goals. Akiba never sleeps! uses a different “do not end the day” condition and should not be combined with risky assumptions about saving.
  6. Update before retesting launch bugs. Patch 1.0.009r lists “How Did I Do It,” Frugal and Platinum Partner fixes; 1.0.011r updates sonic-bath counting and Jack of all trades. Continue using the intended objectives and record a reproducible current-build mismatch instead of forcing an old trigger.
  7. Budget for three character-route completions. Two independent full-release videos support treating Haruhi, Baketsu and Kaito as separate stay/story routes. Community reports warn that inviting more than one character can prevent the intended follow-up from firing. A current Steam guide also calls three playthroughs the minimum. Treat that as a safe route plan, not an official published minimum.

Eight missable achievements and the three-route plan

Spoilers begin here. The current Steam guide labels eight achievements missable. Video review now supports that list, but the evidence is not equally strong for every entry. “Direct” below means the trigger or resulting story sequence appears in continuous full-release footage; “partial” means the route is visible but the Steam pop-up or hidden title is not readable.

AchievementWhy it can be missedCurrent video statusSafe action
All bills paid!Normal bill flow changes after the ending; one concert-route video says no further bills arrive.Direct: bill payment and achievement are shown around 08:42–08:50 and again around 11:49 in separate videos.Pay two bills before finishing the story instead of relying on post-ending bill behavior.
BankruptA normal story-period bill must reach the overdue-warning state.Direct: one bill is left unpaid around 2:20:59; the overdue warning and achievement follow around 2:55:24.Trigger the overdue warning before the ending changes bill management.
OrigamiHelping the child for free is a one-time story choice.Direct: the free-help achievement is shown around 22:34 and independently around 29:58.Choose the free-help response when the child event appears.
MelancholyHaruhi’s stay/story route conflicts with the other two character routes.Direct: a pre-choice save and Haruhi acceptance appear around 1:48:39–1:49:37; the follow-up achievement is at 3:04:53.Accept Haruhi, then complete her later watch/story scene.
Ghost in the frameBaketsu’s stay/story route conflicts with Haruhi and Kaito.Strong partial: Baketsu is invited at 2:08:01–2:08:31, Kaito is refused, and the eye-in-the-sky sequence appears at 2:39:13–2:39:38; the pop-up title is not legible.Accept Baketsu and finish his later old-master/watch follow-up.
RoninKaito’s stay/story route conflicts with Haruhi and Baketsu.Partial: both videos establish the conflicting route choice, but no continuous Ronin unlock pop-up was found. On the remaining character run, accept Kaito and record the later watch/story trigger.
Rock for the ages!It belongs to the concert / good-ending branch.Strong partial: the concert choice and successful ending are continuous around 3:06:35–3:07:14; Steam hides the description and the pop-up text is not legible.Keep a pre-ending save if possible, then complete the concert branch.
GlobalizationIt belongs to the mall / bad-ending branch.Partial: a no-commentary video directly shows the mall failure and credits; the name mapping is corroborated by a second video and the Steam guide, but the pop-up was not captured.Use a pre-ending save for the mall branch; do not assume the hidden unlock until Steam confirms it.
  1. On the first run, finish All bills paid!, Bankrupt and Origami before the shop-ending transition.
  2. Save before the three stay invitations if your platform/save workflow makes a recoverable backup possible. ReStory has no verified in-game branch selector or New Game Plus shortcut.
  3. Complete one character route per run: Haruhi → Melancholy, Baketsu → Ghost in the frame, and Kaito → Ronin. Do not invite a second character on the same attempt.
  4. Keep another save before the final concert-versus-mall decision. This may reduce replay for the two hidden ending achievements, but the exact restore/unlock behavior has not been reproduced here, so do not overwrite your only good save.

This means three character routes, not necessarily three completely fresh save files. If a backup fails or a hidden achievement does not register, an extra replay may still be required.

Current rare-achievement snapshot

Steam’s public percentages change continuously. On August 29, 2026, the lowest displayed values included:

AchievementSteam global completion
Akiba Feels Like Home1.3%
110012.2%
Legend of Akiba3.1%
Sticker Bombing3.4%
Quarterly Report4.1%
Bankrupt4.7%
Ronin4.8%
Melancholy4.9%
Globalization5.5%
Galactic cleaning!5.5%

These numbers do not establish a permanent difficulty ranking. The game had only just launched, long-day achievements are time-gated, hidden objectives have limited discovery, and confirmed unlock bugs can inflate unrelated rows.

Hidden and story achievements

Steam hides the public descriptions for Rock for the ages! and Globalization. It publishes clue-like text rather than procedural steps for Ghost in the frame, Melancholy, and Ronin.

The community Wiki and current Steam guide were used as leads, then checked against current full-release video. The footage directly establishes Haruhi and Baketsu invitation routes, the conflicting Kaito invitation, the concert ending and a separate mall-failure ending. It also directly captures the bill, overdue-warning and free-child triggers.

The remaining boundary matters: no continuous Ronin unlock pop-up was found, the Ghost in the frame pop-up title is not readable, and the hidden Globalization pop-up is absent from the bad-ending video. Those entries therefore remain partial even though their route mapping is strongly corroborated.

If you are protecting a first playthrough from spoilers, finish the story once before chasing these five entries. If you are deliberately testing them, save before the relevant dialogue or choice and record the branch, preceding requirement and resulting Steam pop-up.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the soldering achievement still close to 100%?

The launch sample was affected by an officially acknowledged early-unlock bug. Patch 1.0.009r lists the achievement as fixed, but the public percentage remains historically inflated by launch unlocks and cannot be reset by a later patch.

Does sonic-bath cleaning count toward Big cleaning! and Galactic cleaning!?

The 1.0.011r patch note says cleaning parts with the sonic bath now counts toward the related achievement. That is the current official status; whether an older save’s pre-patch cleaning is retroactively counted has not been independently verified here.

Are Hacking 101 and firmware repair the same system?

No. Hacking 101 explicitly concerns reprogramming a device. A customer order’s UPDATE FIRMWARE service has its own task state and can be affected by device-specific launch bugs. Do not substitute one achievement for evidence of the other workflow.

Can I trust achievement guides written for the Demo?

Not automatically. Names, thresholds, story branches and triggers must be checked against the formal release. This page uses the official full-release Steam list and labels launch bugs separately.

Is three playthroughs guaranteed to be enough?

Three is the safest current plan for the mutually exclusive character invitations, and it agrees with the current Steam guide. It is not an official guarantee: save restoration and two hidden achievement pop-ups have not all been reproduced, so protect backups and allow for an extra partial replay.

Sources and verification notes

Last checked: August 29, 2026. Official achievement count, public objectives, current percentages and the 1.0.009r / 1.0.011r patch claims: verified. All bills paid!, Bankrupt, Origami and Melancholy have direct video trigger evidence. The three-route plan, Ghost in the frame, Rock for the ages!, Ronin and Globalization remain partial at the exact unlock level, with the missing pop-up boundaries stated above.
